July 1, 2020

Dear Butler Farm Show Friends and Supporters,

We know that this will come as an enormous disappointment not only to our members, exhibitors, buyers, and industry professionals but also to our Butler County community. We are disappointed to announce that the 2020 Butler Farm Show has been cancelled due to the requirements put in place at this time from the COVID-19 Pandemic.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly and there are two overriding concerns that have caused us to make this difficult decision. First, the “Green Phase” regulations handed down by Governor Tom Wolf states that large gatherings of more than 250 are prohibited. It is our responsibility to abide by the regulations handed down by our Governor.

Secondly, it has become clear that we will not be able to provide a Farm Show experience that is both safe and enjoyable for our attendees, exhibitors, volunteers and vendors in accordance with the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) guidelines.

As always, we appreciate your continued support of the Butler Farm Show. We are aware of all the hard work our volunteers and exhibitors have done this year and in the past to host the show. It saddens us that we will not be able to spend time this summer with our extended Farm Show family. We have learned lessons from this pandemic and our focus now will be on applying what we have learned to go forward with our 2021 Farm Show. We ask that you continue to support us as we grieve and move forward with next year’s plans for the Butler Farm Show, the future of agriculture in the community, and youth programs in Butler County.

Sincerely,

Ken Laughlin, President

Butler Farm Show Board of Directors
